From Muscles to central nervoUs SysTem, from components to normal or pathological behavior in AgiNG: the MUSTANG project

The 3,5-year MUSTANG project aims at using a multidimensional approach to better characterize the cognitive-motor interactions and the potential underlying neuro-behavioral mechanisms that can affect pathways to disability in aging. Having common measures at different levels of analysis (force, muscular coordination, executive control and motor behavioural performance) will contribute to prevention and rehabilitation of the cognitive and mobility impairments with aging.
